Michael is a methodical, self-driven, articulate, result oriented, hardworking and open minded individual with demonstrated experience, knowledge, skills and Technical abilities in Supply Chain Management and Health Systems Strengthening. Strong interpersonal and intrapersonal skills ensuring the ability to work in a highly diverse environment in which respectful and effective communication skills are integral. Proven strengths in collaboration, training, team work, management, problem resolution, over 13 years experience in HIV/AIDS, TB and pharmaceutical supply chain management.

Michael hold a masters of Public Health, a bachelor’s degree in Public administration and a diploma in Pharmacy. He has worked as a Pharmacy Technician with The AIDS Support Organization (TASO), Technical officer supply chain, Technical Advisor Supply chain with Management Sciences for Health Uganda and as a Program Officer Supply chain with URC.

Michael currently works with UHF/MSH supporting the USAID-Strengthening Supply Chain Systems Activity as a Capacity Building Coordinator responsible for the implementation of the Digital Supply-chain Performance Self-assessment strategy aimed at turning around the health supply chain performance indicators. Through SSCS-Activity, he supports the Department of Pharmaceuticals and Natural Medicine- Division of quality assurance-Ministry of Health in ensuring Appropriate Medicine Use (AMU). This is done through trainings and the capacity building strategies like provision of tools, mentorships among others. Michael supports the MoH eLearning platform whose intention is for just in time skills gap filling after the self-assessment and for both in-service staff and students who would wish to enhance their medicine supply chain management knowledge.
